  • comp window is dark since crash- urgently need help

    Hello,
Recently my graphics PC crashed- ever since- my comp window is noticeably dark and I think the color is off. When I work on a file- then move to the “save for web” the image is correct- I know this- because I tested the image against a correctly working PC right next to the newly crashed PC.
Oddly, when I move the work to the save for web- I get proper values and brightness etc.
Is there a way to set set the comp/work area brightness etc?
    Thank in advance

It sounds like your color settings are off. Go to Edit > Color Settings and choose one of the default presets, like US Prepress Default. (Save for Web doesn’t use color management, so it’s not affected by these settings.)

If that doesn’t help, you may have a damaged color settings file or preferences, a damaged color profile, or a damaged Photoshop install.

For the first, trash your prefs.
For the second and third, start by reinstalling.
