  FEATHERING

  I’m new to photoshop. I tried to feather a photo with the marquee tool. The rectangular tool seems to be frozen at a small area.I can’t increase the area. The oval marqee tool worked for a while and now that is frozen to a small diameter. what am I doing wrong?

  Sounds like the marquee tool options have been set to a fixed size. Select the Marquee tool and check its settings in the Option window.
