  How can I assign a non-F# shortcut to a script? (CS6)

  Hi. I am ultimately trying to stop PS from switching my active layer when I undo (Step Backward, technically). I found a script that functions as undo should, and which Jeffrey Tranberry implies I should be able to assign the shortcut “Ctrl-Z.” However, I can’t find any resources explaining how to assign anything but an F-key to actions. Is it even possible?

  First of all, thanks for that link! That behaviour in photoshop has bugged me for years so to finally have that cleared up is amazing.

  As to assigning the script to a shortcut can’t you just go edit>Keyboardshortcuts then in the popup box that opens choose “file” and scroll down the list to scripts. Click on whatever you’ve saved the script as and enter “ctrl+Z”. That seems to have worked fine for me.
