  Spandex effect/texture in Photoshop

  Hi. I would like to know how to create a spandex effect in photoshop. There was one on some website named Unreal Spandex but the place is not well maintained as of 2007 and all of the photos showing the process are missing. The tutorial also calls for decreasing the midtones but there is no tool in PS that can specifically do that.

  Do any of you know how I can make a spandex effect in photoshop?
