Preset PATTERNS are really only useful if they’re seamless… How best to achieve this..?
Ive been trying to create my own preset Patterns, the library patterns that can be used to paint with or superimpose in Layer FX upon a layer (Pattern Overlay).
I’m noticing that such patterns are really at their most useful…when they are seamless.
Your patterns are necessarily rectangular, since you have to select with the Rectangle Marquee in order to make DEFINE PATTERN active.
So… what’s the best way to make a preset Pattern candidate that’s absolutely seamless, so it can be tiled or painted with, without the viewer seeing the telltale seam?
