  image 3D extrusion in photoshop cs6 very pixallated???

  I just created a simple image from a digital juice font and loaded it into photoshop cs6 and used the 3D extrusion on it…nothing fancy.

  When i save the 3D png and open it, it is awefully pixallated and has rough edges. (see pic)

  the font was large but i saved it smaller (59pt) from the juicer, but i’m still getting the jagged/rough look.

  How do i correct this in photoshop and make the 3D version look as sharp and smooth as the original, non 3d image from the juicer?

  There are several things that are important when creating a 3D Extrusions in Photoshop CS 6 Extended, the first being resolution—the higher the resolution when creating the 3D Extrusion, the better it will look. You can always down-sample the image (Image Size) after the asset(s) have been created.

  Also, be sure that you are Rendering the 3D Layer before you Save for Web… If you don’t render it you don’t get the Ray-Trace image (and all that it has to offer) at all, you just get the OpenGL preview.
