    Hi all,

I have a project shot in 2:35. I am pushing in on the frame at times and it messes up my 2:35 matte on the image. I need to create a 2:35 still matte in Photoshop, but am not choosing the right settings for some reason.

My project is in pro res 1080i, shot on red at 2:35.

Can someone walk me through the film/video choices and help me select the right one that is going to give me a frame for my clips in fcp? Also, even if I request transparent in my original photoshop doc, when I save to jpg it turns it to a white background. Am I missing something? Or should I be saving to png or another format?

    thanks, jane

Hi Jane! What exactly is 2:35? Aspect ratio?
You said 1080i, that leads me to believe that it should be 1920×1080.
For your file format, it needs to be a format that holds an alpha channel so transparency will be preserved – so try something like PSD or PNG format.
