Could anyone suggest how to tell Photoshop to read RGBA file’s Alpha as Alpha in separate channel, without stripping color information from non-Alphed areas.

Rendered a single image in Maya, then loaded to PS, which shows those areas transparent, and there is NO Alpha channel in Channels panel. Old days it was there (which is logical), but since launch of CSs all Alpha’ed images load transparent. By God’s sake, why?!

Thanks to Adobe for making this “neat” feature, but if there is any way to load image as RGB+A, not RGB with transparency?
