    Hello,

How I can I make a picture appear big (and nice) when someone opens my web page, but if they print it (by “Save as” or other un-authorized method) they’d get a small, low quality print?

    Thank you very much,

    Luby

You could put a watermark on the image. If you’re doing it for web a low DPI is best, so that is something to think about too.

    Thank you, Louis,

    I know your suggestions.

A friend wants to put some of her paintings on a web page. She has seen websites where pictures appear big and nice. To test, she has printed them and she gets them much smaller. She asked me to do this for her in Photoshop and, after doing the same as you suggested, I did not get the result she wanted. It must be something in the webpage design/programming that could do that. Should I post in another forum? Other ideas?

    Thanks again,

    Luby

Give some of the web design forums a try.
