  Assigning profiles for Broadcast PSD files

  I’ve encountered Jpegs that were brighter or duller depending on the Profile that was assigned. Now that I know how to change that setting to get consistent jpegs, I’m wondering:
  -What setting is preferable for files that will be used for Broadcast?
  -What setting is preferable for files that will be used for Web?

  Again, this is for Edit>Assign Profiles.

  It is rare to assign profiles. The only time I can think of where that would be done is if an image does not have a profile. In that case, you might assign the profile that you think is correct. Thereafter, the profile should ALWAYS be converted rather than assigned. If you are altering how images look by assigning a profile, you are misusing profiles. Profiles are designed and intended to insure that the image will always look the same when used on different display or printing devices.

  For broadcast and web, you should probably convert to the Microsoft rgb profile.
