I accidently downloaded the EPSON driver v.2.77 for PhotoShop CS2 (Scanner Epson 2450)
and meant to install the upgraded version v.5.75.
So, without getting rid of v2.77, I downloaded v5.75, thinking PhotoShop would make the
more advanced version the preference, but it didn’t.
How do I get rid of driver v.2.77? Epson says go to my System Preferences but I don’t see it
there. Also, along with the v2.77 download there is an application called Epson Scan Monitor,
that appears in the App Folder, but every time I try to trash it, it says it can’t be thrown away
    because it’s open.
Open? I don’t have PhotoShop nor the Scanner on.
How is it open? I was able to trash the App Driver v2.77, but not this Epson Scan Monitor App.
And when I try to open PhotoShop, PhotoShop crashes because it’s trying to read the Twain info,
and apparently v2.77 and the Scan Monitor go together.
v5.75 will not run with v2.77 on the computer and available for PS to read.
I believe that if I can get rid of both v.2.77 and the EPSON Scan Monitor app and reinstall v.5.75,
    I think that would work.
But how do I get rid of the EPSON Scan Monitor if the computer says, “Can’t..it’s Open”
    Thanks.
