  • Creating PSD titles for FCP – HD 1280 x 1080 16:9 Project

I’m trying to create some titles for a project I’m working on in FCP using QT files at HD 1280×1080 16:9.

Can anyone tell me A, what DPI to create the file in to avoid pixelation. B, how to create a file that does not go to 4:3 aspect when I import it into FCP (photoshop allows me to create a project at 1280×1080 but only to PREVIEW it in widescreen) & C, why i feel so alone in digital hell.

Basically I would like to know how to set up a new project in Photoshop to use in FCP for a project with an HD 1280×1080 16:9 Ratio.

    Help me please………

Just make the new document, and under presets choose film + video, then change the size to HDTV 1080p/29.97

Then all you do is import each title into FCP and you can keep reusing the correctly sized template
