A couple of days ago I lost the ability to scale text, boxes and art… by dragging to fit an area. For example the text does not have a bounding box so I can’t click and manually drag out to fit an area. Instead it has a blue line underneath the text. I have re-installed CS3 Suit… hoping this would solve the problem, it did not. I am assuming it is a setting issue but I have searched and can’t find a solution. Has anyone had this problem and if so please help?

I had this a couple of times with CS2, never w/CS3.

Trash the preferences. Unless you used an un-installer, the old preferences were still there even when you re-installed.

I always just search for any files with com.adobe and then look them over in the finder to see if they are ones to trash.

You didn’t accidently hide your bounding box did you? Go under view and see if you can “show bounding box”.
