  • Creating a color swatch library automatically?

Posted by Matt Myer on August 1, 2006 at 7:24 pm

I was wondering if there is a way to automatically, or at least easily, create a color swatch library of all the colors in an image. I know I can use the eyedropper to manually create the library one color at a time, but that takes a while. Is there a better/faster way?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Yes with rgb images. Using and rgb image change
image >> mode >> indexed color >> check the use exact box.
Then go to image>> mode >> color table >> save a .act file

With a new image open go to the flyout menu for the swatches palette
Load Swatches >> switch files of type to .act >> choose your .act file
