16 bit in photoshop different than 16 bit on NTSC application?
I’m working on a GUI design for an NTSC tv screen and the client has a chip that he says is onlyl capable of 16 bit color (4096 colors total). I’m having a hard time designing the graphics b/c 16 bit in photoshop has excellent picture quality when viewed on an NTSC monitor…even when i export as a bitmap and select 16bit, the resulting bitmap looks fine. BUT, after the bitmap is brought into the chip, it looks awful. I think the client and I may be miscommunicating the capabilities of the chip vs. what photoshop is outputting.
Why does photoshop’s 16 bit look good but the ’16 bit’ chip looks terrible? Thanks for any help.
