Is there a way to render the workarea without needing to specify a filename, wait for it to render, then open the rendered file? Preview, essentially. Except, preview stops if I switch focus to another program. I want it to do it’s rendering, be able to do other things, then look at the result after it is done rendering.

I do not see previewing in the background mentioned there.

When I Ram preview, i can open other applications and it will keep ‘ram previewing.’ When I go back to AE, its loaded and will play when I hit ram preview.

Err… I’m seeing that too. Sorry for the noise. My guess is that I have been hitting escape before switching.
