Just shot a bunch of interviews in less than flattering light. Would like to use Beauty Box by digital anarchy but in both Premiere and AE (CC 2014.2) it’s crashing both programs. Essentially what it’s doing is finding a mask based on skin color and applying some nice blur/smoothing. How can I make a mask based on a color in AE?

I use the Remove Grain filter by itself or if I need to isolate the skin tones only I use that applied on a duplicate of the layer with Keylight and Invert Matte. Pretty happy with the results. You have to play around with the controls to see how much you want to smooth out the skin.

Yep – AE + Yosemite = bad? Looking at threads about memory leaks last night. Went home and rendered fine on my home machine running Mavericks. I’m wondering if I should downgrade my MBP back to Mavericks.
