Auto-Cutting out dead air
I need a good way to automatically cut out dead air. I was thinking about if sound is less than x for 1 second then time remapping speeds up so fast that it’s like a cut. This is for a street photography project so ideally I would be able to find my shutter sound in the audio and insert the photos but I don’t know if there’s any audio search function in major video editors.

Hey Austin, any chance you could share audiotrack sample or whole video piece together?
The reason why I see time-remapping a bit tricky out there, is that every ‘speed-up’ would have to be considered further down the line, in order to maintain normal speed of audio/video. Instead, it would be a lot better to do cuts in the comp. To make this happen, a script could be used – by building audio amplitude keyframes and then processing them accordingly.
