  • Batch render multiple cameras in AE?

Posted by Ryan Poore on October 12, 2005 at 2:37 pm

I may have missed something but I haven’t been able to figure this out.

I have a composition in AE that I am using multiple cameras such as a camera for a wide shot, medium, close up etc. Is there a way to add this composition to the render Que and be able to choose the camera it renders so I can render out all three cameras to different files in one batch render session? Now it uses the active camera and overrides the other compositions waiting in the render que.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hmmm …. nope.

You need to duplicate the comp and set the desired camera (wide, tele, whatever) to the active camera for each comp, but switching off the other cameras for that comp.

Then you render the three comps in a batch.

Thanks for the reply. I was sort of figuring that would be the case. I don’t think my computer could handle three of these comp windows at the same time. I guess it’s back to rendering one at a time.

    Thanks Again,

What makes you think that? Have you tried it?
