  Linking two or more properties with diffrent timing inpoints

  Hi There,

  i want to ask the community how to link two or more properties like rotation of one layer, but the other following layers have diffrent startpoint in the timeline. i want to change only one layer, and the rest is following, like precomped compositions…

  any ideas?

  The property.valueAtTime(time-x) expression is your friend here. For example, to make Layer 2 rotation follow Layer 1’s rotation with a one-second delay, you would use this for Layer 2 rotation:
  thisComp.layer("Layer 1").transform.rotation.valueAtTime(time-1)

  Yay thanks. But i was looking for a solution, where i can move the layer and the animation is connected to the inpoint of the layer. I did request the same question in a germen forum and got answer from Mylenium:

  thisComp.layer("XYZ").transform.rotation.valueAtTime(time-thisLayer.inPoint)
