I have made fog by using fractal noise and i add first noise to my picture layer. Now i want some depth for my fog bacause I have camera going away from the pic and it dont look very real if there is fog only in that picture layer. So I test to put black layer forward of my picture layer and then add fractal noise to it. it works, but it darken that picture layer too much (because it is black layer). Can I do fractal noise that only fog (white colour in fragtal noise) is showing? I test to add fractal noise into empty transparency layer, but then noise doesnt appear.

Welcome to transfer modes. Add the noise to a black solid which is on top of your picture. But instead of normal tarnsfer mode, set it to ‘screen’ so only the lighter bits of the fog show through.

For more info on the different transfer modes and there uses, check your manual.
