    No need for an expression. You can parent the square to a null that acts as the center of rotation and rotate the null.

    Thanks for your suggestion but I need to apply this to multiple videos of different width and height. I think it will be easier if I can do this in expression. Basically a square which is moving randomly around the video in a rotating manner.

    I have added “timer*40” to rotation property of the square and now the issue is I want to move it around the video.

    Now you got me confused. Do you want a circular motion or a random motion around the video?

    If random, try a wiggle expression on the position. The motion you get from it is pretty smooth.

    Something like wiggle(.2, 500)

    Trying to achieve something similar to this with expression but a more smoother and steadier movement.
