correction
hi.. i really need help … i’m editing a film in digital, but there is some kind of ray crossing some parts of the film, it look like overexposure (maybe because of x ray in the airport…) but, what can i do in order to correct this?

Yowza. That will be tough. I’ll give you my thoughts, but I’d be amazed if it will ever look “normal”.
Duplicate your clip. On the top duplicate, animate a column shaped mask that defines the area of the wash out. So that in the end if you solo’d that layer you would only see the wash out areas.
Once this is done. I’d first color correct it to get it as close as possible. AE doesn’t really have any built in color correction tools that aren’t a joke for video but you can try color finesse (free w/ 6.5) or spend a few hours jacking with levels, curves, and hue/sat.
You’ll want to give it it’s contrast back first, since the wash out substantially decreases the contrast. You’ll want to de-tint the blues to get it to match the non-washed areas. Etc.
lastly, on that same dup’d layer, you can try ficking through the transfer modes and see if something does any magic for you.
The wash is pretty brutal so I don’t think it will ever be unfixed completely, but with a bit of tweaking on it, it may not be severe.

I agree. When you’re done fixing, if you can still see the glitch, you should consider adding some more moving panels to make it look like a deliberate effect.
