Hi all, I have an issue I’d like to find a smart way to get around.

I have a bunch of comps comprising of 3 layers of elements.
These are embedded and time remapped in a master comp, but I’d like to have 3 instances of the embedded comp, each showing only a particular layer number (for placing behind an object).

    So currently I have:

    Master Comp:
    – Embed Comp (Time Remap applied)
    — Element Comp A
    — Layer 1
    — Layer 2
    — Layer 3
    — Element Comp B
    — Layer 1
    — Layer 2
    — Layer 3
etc (apologies not sure how to outline comp stacking)

    And I would like:

    Master Comp:
    – Embed Comp 1 (Time Remap applied)
    — Element Comp A
    — Layer 1
    — Element Comp B
    — Layer 1
    – Embed Comp 1 (Time Remap applied) (Duplicated from above)
    — Element Comp A
    — Layer 2
    — Element Comp B
    — Layer 2

If that makes sense – so the embedded comps only show a selected layer number from the preComp.

I can duplicate all of the Element Comps with only 1 layer each, but it’s a huge amount of manual work, so hoping there’s an elegant fix for this.

    Many thanks!
    Dan
