Fade out at the end of comp
Hi,
I’m trying to add fade out to one of my effects to the end of the composition. I will use it multiple times so it would be impractical to do it manually. Times will vary.
How to do it using expressions?

Well, it’s actually precomposition. It includes many effects. It’s basically logo with audio spectrum.

So you want to fade the precomp layer’s opacity at the end of the precomp, or at the end of the master comp?

At the end of master comp. I will be changing times of comp for different songs so it’s impractical to do it manually using key frames.

Like this then, I think:
fadeTime = 1; // fade out time (seconds)
ease(time,thisComp.duration-fadeTime,thisComp.duration,value,0)Dan

You would apply it to the opacity property of the precomp layer in the main comp.

I came across this and I wanted to use it for a shape layer, but apparently there’s no such thing as thisLayer.duration? What is the equivalent to get this code to work for a shape layer?
