    Hey guys! I’m trying to do a sky replacement on this shot. I’m having a weird keying issue though.

    Here is an actor against the sky holding a sword. It looks fine here. But when keyed…

    His sword almost looks like we had a super low shutter speed or something. It looks like 3 swords blurred. What is going on here? This seems to be happening with a bunch of different keying methods I try on this shot.

    Why are you using Color Key and not Keylight? As an aside, have you tried extracting a Luma Matte? If all else fails, you will have to roto – where mocha is the tool of choice. With mocha, you track the sword with a slightly loose tracking spline. When the track is done, you link a tight roto spline to the tracking spline – then keyframe the roto spline.
