  ok so I’m trying to follow the tutorial on https://churchmediadesign.tv/click-track-videos-pt-4/ to link source text to an external file.

  I’m getting an error.
  

  please be gentile, I’m a NOOB at this java stuff.

  if ($.os.indexOf("Mac") != -1)
myPath = "/Users/clintsanchez/Documents/Expressions";
else
myPath = "file://c:Expressions";

  myPath += "test.txt";

  $.evalFile (myPath);

  eval(thisComp.name)[0];

  I figured it out. Apparently the tutorial was quite old and Java had some changes since then. Thanks for the reply though.
