  • Layer markers control in/out points of layers in separate compositions …

    Hi,

I’m looking for a way of using layer markers in one comp (“Master”) to control the in & out points of layers in a separate comps – (“01” & “02”). Can anyone recommend a method of achieving thus using expressions?

All the compositions would be the same duration, enabling me to move transitions / in & out points around without jumping backwards & forwards between comps & having ensure everything is lined up.

Hope that makes sense – any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks,

    T.

Expressions can’t affect a layer’s in and out points. You could tie the layer’s opacity (or other properties) to markers, but I’m not sure if that helps you. In any case, an expression would need a way to identify which marker to use for which purpose (unless there are only two markers involved) so you might need a scheme for identifying markers by their comments.
