Continuous zig zag on a path – like a tank tread
Hey guys, how are you?
Pardon me if there’s already an answer for this, I haven’t found anything similar.
I’ve created a rectangle shape layer with rounded borders and also added a zig zag parameter on it. I’m trying to rotate those points along the path on a continuous loop, like a tank tread.
Is there any chance to do it with expressions?
Any help/advice greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I can’t think of anything. As far as I know, there’s no way to animate the zig zag attributes in the way that you want.

Old tread here (yes thats a pun on thread) ?
If you need an option with spiky/zig zag look an option would be to use a text animator with text set to a mask path with a ▲ character for the spiky tread. Or alternatively a ■ character with some adjustment to rotation and scale.
