I am working with a bunch of 3D layers on a very large scene.
The problem: I need to move the handles on a few keyframes of my camera animation – but I cannot move the viewport to the location of the keyframes. it seems like I am hitting a limit here.
once I am zoomed out to 1.5 percent there seems to be no way to pan around in the top view anymore… it’s like hitting a wall. although the items outside of the visible area work just fine and I can move them around when I edit the values by keyboard entry.

    does anyone know a workaround?

[Marc Nibor] “once I am zoomed out to 1.5 percent there seems to be no way to pan around in the top view anymore”

Use the camera tools (C) instead of the pan tool (Spacebar).

Ctrl+Alt+Shift+\ (PC) or Cmd+Opt+Shift+\ (Mac) will move the camera to look at the currently selected layer.

Dave: Thank you – I was in the “top view” – but Walter already provided a working solution

Walter: Thanks a ton! Your workaround does the trick!!
I was hoping that something like this is the solution. Bevore I posted my question I created a null and moved it way out by entering the numbers with the keyboard, hoping AE would increase the visible “work area” but it did not. I never would have figured this solution out on my own ; )
