    Hi,

Does anyone know an expression/script that can automatically attach a flares to “hot spots” in a video footage? and also adjust each flare’s radius/brightness according to the brightness of its “hot spot”?

    Thanks,

Theoretically, I guess you could do it with sampleImage() but it would be ridiculously slow.

The Optical Flares plugin from Video Copilot can do this. It’s not 100% perfect, but it allows you to sample the bright areas of the frame, add flares, and control how the brightness and color effect those flares.

    Thank you!
Can you explain how exactly is it done using Optical Flares? Or refer me to a relevant tutorial?

    Thanks,
