  Creating Value Parameters when an effect is Pickwhipped to the parameters on a adjustment layer with sound keys

  here’s my situation:
  i have placed sound keys on an adjustment layer
  on another adjustment layer [adjustment layer 2 in this case] i have a photograph underneath it
  on adjustment layer 2 i have placed the mirror effect, what i’d like to do is create parameters so that the reflection angle is either 270 or 90, while pickwhipped to the Output 3 layer of the adjustment layer that has sound keys.

  so i’m just curious regarding how to establish parameters in this case of only two values yet those two values are triggered via the keyframes from the sound keys imbued adjustment layer.

  From what you’re describing, I think it will look like this:

  sk3 = thisComp.layer(“Adjustment Layer 1”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 3”);
  triggerLevel = 10;
  if (sk3 > triggerLevel) 270 else 90

  You’ll need to adjust triggerLevel to something that makes sense for your keyframe range (and you might have to swap the 270 and 90).

  Thanks for the response Dan, I have yet to try what you suggested, I will in a few hours, I’m just at work, however, does the screen shot essentially describe how I should word what you mean?

  ill be honest i don’t quite get how to successfully embed the screenshot into this post.

  Thanks Dan, it completely worked and I believe I honestly learned some important things about expression grammer, or how to properly express, expressions.
