  a Long shot.. ccSphere to Camera…

  OK.. this is a real long shot…

  but here goes..

  I’ve created a beautiful globe style thing using cc Sphere..

  I’ve animated it using the radius, offset and rotation.. I’ve got some great highlights and shadows mapped onto solids which follow the globe thanks to Dan..

  I now want to add some particles coming out of various countries.. the problem.. as soon as the globe moves.. the particles kinda stay the way they are.. I need to add a camera..

  sooo is there a way I can add some expressions to the camera so it matches the radius, offset and rotation of the Globe…

  you may be better off mapping cc sphere properties to a camera, here are the expressions to do so:

  but you might be able to do the reverse…

  Cheers Kevin..

  This technique is ok.. except there is nothing for the cameras position in z..

  which kinda hinders any zoom in or out

  you should be able to make the cc sphere layer 3d to get it to respond to the 3d camera position. and you will probably also need to set the layer to auto orient to the camera…

  i also found a simpler tutorial for just the cc sphere to 3d camera expressions (i remembered seeing this years ago, but my initial search didn’t find it):
