    Hi

does anybody know, how I can let fall down a Text like a feather?
Like the typical falling of a feather… it should float a little bit from the left to the right.

Is there an effect for something like this or do i have to do it via position and keyframes?

In the AE Basics Forum somebody said, that he remembers, that there will be an expression for it and advised me to post it in the expressions forum.

    does anybody know something?

    kind regards from germany

Is it the Position expression you’re talking about? That shouldn’t move the layer from its initial position until the 2nd frame.

    I dont understand your post.
I dont know what you mean with “Is it the Position expression you’re talking about?”
I think I should write down all 3 Expressions? For Postion, Z Rotation and Y Rotation.
    So I don’t know where’s the mistake

Assuming that you’ve entered all three expressions, you can disable them one-by-one until you find the one that’s causing your layer to disappear. I’m just asking which of the three it is. My guess would be the position expression, but if you set the comp time to zero, that expression shouldn’t have any affect, so I don’t really have any idea what’s going on.

Another way could be to create a Null, make it rotate like a pendulum and loop (you can use the loopOut expression).

Now, you can animate the position of the Null from up to down in a straight line and make it stop. You can also ease the stop if you want.

Then, you’ll just need to parent your text to the Null and it will follow the combined movements.

    I hope this helps
