  • How do I write a position/time delay expression when the layers are different sizes?

I have multiple footage layers, I want one layer to fall, then another layer to fall into it’s corresponding place with the first layer, but delayed in time (so I get a cascade effect) and so on. Since I have many layers I was hoping to use an expression. The layers are different sizes, so just using the layer names and the valueAtTime(time -.5) expression with the Layer A’s position results in Layer B going to the wrong position.

I have the layers arranged How I want them to end up, but sitting off screen, and just want them to cascade down to the correct position one after another.

The easiest might be if you set all your layers up so that their anchor points are on the bottom edge. Then they all have to fall the same distance.
