  motionscript.com is a very good resource for learning expressions and scripts for after effects.

  jj gifford’s section on expression is older, but a very good site for learning expressions, particularly for just starting out.

  also learning the basics of java is helpful as you get going in expressions. learning the operators and basics for creating if/else and loop statements, and many other things that i’m still trying to learn… you can find java learning site all over the place, but i’ve found tizag.com to be pretty useful.
