I have a shape layer growing in size. I have a picture I want to fill the shape layer with. The picture is placed underneath the shape layer and has an alpha matte applied to it. Therefore the picture can only be displayed within the path of the shape layer.

My question. Is there an expression I can use to tie the image layer to the size of the shape layer? That way I don’t have to key frame the size of the image to fill the shape layer. They Shape layers size coordinates drive the size of the image and fill the shape layer.

Here is an animated gif of the animation I am trying to achieve. The shape layer starts from nothing an animates into a box. I want the picture to fill the box (no black bars) and the size of the picture to be driven by the size of the shape layer.

I hope I explained this in a meaningful way.

It sounds like all you need to do is parent the picture layer to shape layer. Then the picture will grow in size along with the shape layer.
