  Controlling keyframed camera moves…

  My brain is not functioning today…

  I have a layer that has position keyframes from a camera track…

  I want to be able to apply this to another layer… (I know, simple, just parent it. however…)

  Here’s the kicker… I want to be able to control the magnitude of that motion as its applied to the other layer… so that if I have a slider from 0 to 100 to control the positioning where 0 none of the motion is applied and 100 is where 100 percent of the motion is applied, and anything in between those values is a fraction of the camera track, what would be the expression I need to make this work?

  I think this should do it (this is partly in non working pseudo code):

  
v=50 ; // pickwhip this to a value-slider 0-100%, o(r beyond)
tr=trackedposition; // pseudo code, pick whip this to the property you need
p=position;

  p + (tr-p)*v/100;


  If any of your layers are parented, you’ll need layer transformations of course…
  Check back if so.
