  • Independent keyframe velocity for each axis??

Posted by Fridasongs on December 21, 2006 at 10:18 am

    Hi:
I have a 3d layer which I am animating. When I alter the velocity of the keyframe, all “axis” (x,y,z) respond equally to it.
What I want is for each axis to have it

You could use expression to link each parameter to an expression controls effect (slider or whatever works best for you)….this will enable you to control each velocity individually….you could also do this via Nulls if you feel more comfortable with position values (Link each position attribute to it’s own Null….pos-x to pos-x on Null-1 etc…..)

    Hope this helps

Check the animation presets that come with AE. There is one to separate out X,Y,Z which will rig your layer with expressions just like Mark described.
