November 16, 2006 at 12:08 pmEasiest way for this is to create two layers of text. The first will have the first letter, and the other will have the rest of the word. You may have to create your own animation, or take a preset and work it to your needs. Under the animator, in the advanced setting, you can select the animator to use the word instead of by character, thus allowing your second layer to be able to animated as a whole.

November 16, 2006 at 1:33 pmso what you are saying is that the text you want to animate really isn’t text, but an image? can you recreate the text? if so, then you can use the animators and range finders in the text animation section.

November 16, 2006 at 2:01 pmI cant recreate the text i dont have the fonts and it has a 3D look to it
what i did was use masks to break the letters and animate the firest letter and the rest of the word it looks ok but still i think i made it harder then it was suppose to be
any other ideas? -

November 16, 2006 at 2:47 pmIf it is an image, then maksing and animating by hand or using expressions to animate are your only way to go.
