I am creating an animation using the ‘write on’ function of paintbrush tool in AE.

the animation contains a series of dots that should appear in a rhythm. But because each dot constitutes a new brush layer I lose the functionality of write on and the layers all appear at the same time.

Is there a way I can retrospectively offset the start point for each of these layers by, say, 1 second?

so layer 1 starts at 0:00, layer 2 starts at 1:00, layer 3 starts at 2:00 etc.

    many thanks

There is a free layer sequencer script inside the project files of this Video CoPilot Tutorial
