  Element 3D custom layer issue

  Hi,

  I’m having a really frustrating issue with Element 3D.
  Element 3D scene setup and AE viewport doesn’t match.
  This happens when I change custom layer to another layer.

  Let me explain:

  I’m creating a AE template and I’m having this really weird issue.
  I made a comp where you can put your own logo. Let’s call it “LOGO”. Then I add LOGO to the same comp with Element 3D to create a scene. In this comp I used AE’s feature called Auto-trace and I traced the alpha channel of LOGO to a new layer. Then I added that new auto-traced layer to the Element’s custom layer slot 2. Everything is working fine at this point.

  Now I want to change my logo. I put a new image to the LOGO comp and traced that again in the scene comp. Now I add this auto-traced layer again to the Element’s custom layer slot 2. Something really weird happens. In the AE viewport there is again the previous logo. I can’t understand why this is happening. I removed the old and traced the new one. Mask changes and is correct at the auto-trace layer. Even when I go to the Element 3D scene setup everything has changed and are working just fine.
  So why doesn’t the AE viewport update? This totally drives me crazy.

  System Specs:
  Intel 2500k
  MSI gtx660
  8GB RAM

  Software specs:
  After Effects CC
  Element 3D 1.6.2

  Try clearing the cache (Edit > Purge > All memory and disk cache).

  If that works, please consider filing a bug report.

  Hi,

  It seememd to work with CC but I tried this same file with CS6 and it doesn’t have that same button.
  Do you guys know any other method to solve my problem?

  In CS6, there’s a button to clear the cache located inside the Ae preferences.

  Edit > Preferences > Media & Disk Cache > Empty Disk Cache.

  You may also need to Edit > Purge > All memory.
