Particular Velocity Question
Hey gang 🙂
I’m working on AE for some time now and im trying to recreate an effect (you can see here:)

(time= 00:28)It’s a small explosion of white star particles.
Please notice that they start expanding very fast in space and then suddenly slow down and then fade away.
I tried Keying the Velocity parameter to slow down at a certain frame but for some reason it only affects the particles that haven’t been born yet.
Any ideas?

I already tried that but that gives me weird and unexpected results.

Other than Physics Time Factor, the next thing would be to create your particular effect, precomp it, and time remap or the effect Time > timewarp(or something similiar)

Adjust the settings in the Particle section for Opacity Over Life, in the Physics section adjust Gravity and adjust Air resistance.
I came close in a few minutes…
