  Recall the effects name in after effects

  I had changed the effects name in one of my old projects, now today when i opened the same project i can’t recognize the effects name which are applied on the footage or some thing, is there any way to recall the orignal names of the effects. Thanks

  I don’t have AE with me now so I can’t verify, but with text layers that have been renamed, if you select them and hit “Enter/Return” to rename and then “Delete” so the name is blank, and then hit “Enter/Return” again, they will revert to the original text. Not sure if that works with effects names but it’s worth a try.

  HI Erik,
  Thanks for the reply, but it did’t work for effects, it works for layers only. But i found another way out by going to the about tab in the effects controller, it shows the orignal name of the effect.
