    Hi There, I have read all the posts I can find but none seem to solve my problem I get this message .

    I cannot choose an output because of this

    and then get this message

    These is the versions I am using. Quicktime 10 and after effects 12

    I would so appreciate any help as I’m becoming desperate.

    I actually just had the same problem two days ago. I did a full restart of my computer and then AE started recognizing QuickTime again. I had done a disk repair and cleared out a ton of temp files the day before that so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it. Have you used Mac’s disk utility recently?

    2 days ago I had my mac serviced but I will have a look at clearing out old files – this is really frustrating

    I believe there are some issues with the new mac os, quicktime and AE. I believe the solution is to use QT7, but you might want to check around first.
