    Hi,

I need to copy some layers from one project to another. When opening a new project and pasting the layer, they change places. Layer number 3 become layer number 17 and so on.
You know anything about that? AE CC.

And… I would like if it was possible to group compositions together, as I prefere to make a new project for each customer and not each project.

When you copy/paste layers they will paste in the order you selected them, first one on top.

Not sure what you mean about grouping compositions.

There’s a really handy way to do this with this script:

    https://aescripts.com/save-comp-as-project/

As the name suggests, you can save a composition as a project. Now you can just import that project into your new project and the composition will be exactly as it was in the other.

***BEWARE THOUGH – do not put a / in your comp name or else it will overwrite your entire original project file. I had this problem before, it sucked. It’s a great script though, I’ve just started duplicating the project I want to pull assets out of before running it in case I come across any other oddities like that (always good to have your backup)
