    hello,
    I am sachin. fun loving after effects and max user.
    I have a problem regarding the keyout background casting shadow in it’s underlying layer. How can I create such effect?
    For example
    I have my character place in blue screen and I have a still picture layer
    of Newyourk stree. Now I want to Place my keyout character in the stree
    casting shadows.
    Please help me out with the problem thatnkyou

    A pretty simple solution is to duplicate the foreground layer.

    Take the bottom foreground layer, fill it with black, blur it a bit, set blend mode to ‘multiply’, lower transparency to 25% or so, and transform and skew it to match the direction of the light a bit.
