PF Track allows for Lens Distortion Export as a .pfb file (PF Barrel file).

Is there a way to input this or the data into AE? I have tried a few plugins and I can totally eye-ball it, but I’d much rather use the actual data from PF Track to assure that I’m applying the same distortion to the background plate.

The reason why I don’t undistort in After Effects before tracking is because PF Track has a tool for this and tends to give more accurate results- giving the ability to refine and adjust as your solving the shot.

    Any input would be great!

I think the best solution is to export the plate right from PF Track. In the exports node, there should be an option fo you to export the image sequence.

Some PF_Track users use our RE:Map UV — i.e. just use the UV map out of PF_Track as the metadata.

    Thanks for your response.
    Yes we use RE:Map
The only problem is that the edges get stretched with this plugin.
For example: if you have an STMap that is 2048×1080
You place this on your footage that is 2048×1080.
40 pixels around the image is stretched when using this plug in. Pixel stretching.

Those are values above 1.0 or below 0.0?
Can you send me an STMap out of PF_Track
There is a workaround but maybe we should built-in
