In the good ol days of AE CS6 when we rendered on the farm, each machine could launch multiple instances of AERENDER dependent on how many cores the machine had that it was licensed to.

Now with CC, we get license errors and it only allows for one instance, and NO core rendering.

    We use Smedge.

Anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    E

Launching multiple instances of the After Effects aerender application on one computer in that way has never been a tested or supported workflow. If it worked, it was a happy accident.

I remember using Smedge at Run Studios in Kirkland Wa. I’ve seen many many renders go through there using that method with no problem. Of course, that was CS6.
