  Bakground plate with bright spot – banding

  Hi,

  I have created a dark solid that is supposed to be used as a background plate for some products in a commercial.
  When I create a lighter spot in the middle (between background and products) it gives a lot of banding. Any suggestions?

  Any difference between making the bright spot with a white solid and feathered edges or a single spot light?
  How to make a bright spot in the middle of a dark background without having banding?
